Fight Society was created as a dedicated digital marketplace for the Australian combat sports community. It gives fighters, promoters and public visitors a structured place to discover people, events and available opportunities.
Fight Society: one platform for the whole fight game.
Fight Society is a custom combat sports marketplace built to bring fighter discovery, event opportunities, promoter management and fight-card matchmaking into one connected digital product.

Fight Society is a pre-launch platform. These figures describe the product scope, not post-launch performance or commercial results.
A fight platform made to feel as considered as the sport itself.
The visual system carries from the public discovery experience into event management and fighter profiles, keeping the most important decisions clear on every screen.

The project in one clear view.
The project combines a public marketplace, fighter and promoter accounts, event management, applications and fight-card workflows in one custom web application.
Instead of relying entirely on private messages, phone calls and personal networks, the platform creates a clearer path from an available bout to a considered application and a managed matchup.
Matchmaking was happening across messages, calls and personal connections.
Combat sports opportunities can move quickly, but the information needed to make a good match is often fragmented. Fighters need a way to show who they are and what they are available for. Promoters need a faster, more structured way to build a card without losing the human judgement that matchmaking requires.
- 01
Create a public combat sports marketplace where fighters, events and opportunities can be discovered in one place.
- 02
Give fighters a practical profile that presents their experience, record, availability and fight history.
- 03
Give promoters an event-management workspace for fight cards, applications and matchups.
- 04
Keep every application connected to the specific bout opportunity a fighter wants to fill.
The brief was a working marketplace, not a brochure website.
The product had to support distinct roles, connected records and decisions that change the state of an event. Off-the-shelf pages alone could not reliably handle the relationship between a fighter, an event, a vacant slot, an application and a confirmed bout.
Opportunity was hard to see
Available fights could be shared through scattered networks, making it difficult for suitable fighters to find and act on them in time.
Applications lacked structure
A generic message does not preserve the weight, style, rounds and exact fight-card position a promoter needs to assess.
Promoters needed control
A promoter needed to publish events, review applicants and progress a card without being pushed into a generic website back end.
Three workstreams, one commercial journey.
Each part of the project had a defined role. The design made the decision clearer, the build made action easier and the search strategy connected the experience with demand.
Fighter discovery and identity
A public directory and detailed fighter profiles make experience, location, gym, style, weight, record, availability and fight history easier to understand.
Fighters can maintain an account-led profile and use it as a clearer starting point when applying for a relevant opportunity.
Promoter event management
Promoters can create events, define bouts and open positions, then manage activity through a focused dashboard rather than a generic content editor.
Events bring venue, date, fight style, rounds, weight information, available positions and confirmed matchups into one working view.
Matchmaking and fight-card workflow
Applications carry the details of the selected position, so a promoter can review candidates in the context of the bout they want to fill.
When a matchup is confirmed, the fight-card position can move from available opportunity to confirmed bout with a clear record of the decision.
What happened, in the order it needed to happen.
Map the people and the handoffs
The product journey was defined around fighters, promoters and public visitors, with clear ownership for each action and piece of information.
Make complex information easy to scan
Public profiles, event pages and dashboards were designed around the information people need to discover, assess and act.
Build the marketplace logic
Custom data relationships, user roles, application handling, event management and record calculations turned the design into a connected application.
Support the card from open slot to matchup
The final workflow keeps availability, applications, confirmed bouts and fight history connected instead of treating each as an isolated page.
From an open fight position to a managed matchup.
The platform was designed around the operational sequence behind matchmaking. The public discovery experience and the promoter dashboard meet at the same structured opportunity.
Promoter opens a position
An event and its fight-card requirements are published with the details needed for a relevant application.
Fighters find the opportunity
Fighters can browse events and available fights, then assess whether the style, weight and format are suitable.
The application keeps context
The selected slot, event and bout details travel with the fighter application rather than being lost in a general enquiry.
The card moves forward
Promoters review applicants, make a considered matchup and update the fight card from an available position to a confirmed bout.
A stronger foundation for a more connected fight community.
Fight Society is built to replace fragmented coordination with a repeatable, visible workflow. Its value is the infrastructure it gives fighters and promoters before any post-launch results are measured.
A profile that travels further
Fighters have a dedicated place to present their experience, availability and history while discovering opportunities beyond their immediate network.
A clearer path to a full card
Event details, open positions, applicants and confirmed matchups can be managed in one purpose-built workspace.
More context at the point of decision
Structured applications help keep the details of a proposed bout visible when a promoter is assessing possible matches.
A scalable product foundation
The custom application is designed to support a growing network of fighters, events and promoters without reducing the experience to a static directory.
